Strategic Partnership takes Certus IT into the Fifth Dimension
IT consultancy Certus IT has won a major contract and formed a strategic partnership with UK software provider, Fifth Dimension Systems, which will see the south Wales company expand its offering around the UK.
Certus IT has secured a £210,000, three-year contract with FD Systems to provide ongoing IT managed support services and business continuity services.
In addition, a new partnership will see Certus IT work closely with the company, which has approximately 130 staff in six UK offices, to provide an integrated infrastructure, IT managed services and software offering for its clients.
FD Systems, which is headquartered in Nant Garw and has a turnover of £13 million, delivers finance software solutions, such as Sage 50, Sage 200, Sage Line 500 and Sage 1000, for around 1500 clients including United Utilities, Discovery Foods and Companies House. The new deal will see Certus IT become the preferred IT supplier for the company.
In order to deliver this, Certus IT will undertake a 12-month phased expansion into FD Systems’ offices in Camberley and Milton Keynes.
Paul Brown, business development director at Certus IT said: “Thanks to an extremely solid financial performance last year and profits 67% ahead of forecast for our first quarter, we have been looking for the opportunity to expand our offering from south Wales to the rest of the UK.
“This partnership with FD Systems allows us to do this, and we are thrilled to be working with one of the largest financial software providers in Europe and the UK's largest provider of Sage accountancy software packages.
“The deal is a fantastic opportunity for us to provide an improved service to our clients with regional offices, such as Freshwater and Premier Global, as well as allowing us to get a foothold in new geographical areas.
“We see this as a major stepping stone in our growth plan to treble revenues over the next five years and become the largest IT services company in Wales and the south west.”
Nigel Griffiths, sales director at Fifth Dimension Systems, said: “As the UK's premier Sage business partner we are committed to providing an efficient and professional service to all our clients. When installing our software solution, many clients don’t have the correct server infrastructure to properly support the full benefits of their new software.
“This new partnership with Certus IT will enable us to offer an infrastructure refresh and IT managed services along with our software packages, which will provide our clients with the best possible complete service and allow them to use their new software solution to its full potential.”
In order to deal with current demand and prepare for business growth as it begins to roll out the partnership in October, Certus IT has already made two new appointments bringing their total number of engineers to 20 and staff numbers to 30.
Paul Brown added: “We are keen to ensure that our expansion does not impact upon the professional service we provide our current clients and are pleased to bring two new engineers on board. We will also be making two new appointments to coincide with the opening of each satellite office.”
Certus IT is one of the largest specialist IT consultancies in south Wales, employing 30 staff. It supplies a range of IT services, including server virtualisation, advanced storage solutions, backup and disaster recovery and full or partial managed IT support services.
